Berkshire Wins Award from Embassy of Spain

Embassy of Spain Awards Berkshire First-Place in Video Contest
Posted on 11/12/2021

The video Confusión lingüistica from Berkshire Elementary School has been awarded the first-place prize in the 1st Video Contest for ISA students, organized by the Education office of the Embassy of Spain. It's based on the topic "Laughing in Spanish and English."

This decision was reached, after much deliberation, by the jury of the contest, which has included administrators and teachers from Canada, the United States, and Spain. All of the members of the jury have agreed that

Confusión lingüistica stands out for its light-hearted humor. It also features a very original script. It is important that we note the presence of the sociocultural aspect in both languages in each of the different scenes. It is also well structured and edited. This is why it has been awarded the first-place prize in the 1st Video Contest for ISA students.

Each of the students in the video team (up to 5, instruction I.3) will receive a certificate as well as a surprise educational prize. The award ceremony will take place in Washington D.C., tentatively on November 12th, 2021. The Education Office of the Embassy of Spain will provide Berkshire Elementary School with travel allowance for two people to attend the ceremony.
